Launched in 2017, this initiative challenges everyone in the city to complete 30 minutes of activity a day for 30 days. DFC heralds a month-long calendar of exciting fitness events and wellness-focused entertainment to keep Dubai up and on its feet. It not only cultivates fitness-focused mindsets but also inspires Dubai’s residents to work towards a common goal of maintaining healthier, active lifestyles in the long run.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge is back with more activities and more challenges to encourages everyone to commit to 30 minutes of exercise for 30 days. The 2019 challenge runs from October 18 to November 16 as part of a plan to make Dubai the most active city in the world.

At the Dubai Fitness Challenge, participants of all ages get the opportunity to flex their physical fitness by participating in activities at the gyms, parks, public spaces and on the Beach to get them up and moving on their own or with family or friends!

The event has both FREE and payed activities to the public and features a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy including active gaming fun for all ages and on-site programming designed to inspire kids and families to live a more active and healthy lifestyle!

DUBAI FITNESS CHALLENGE SUP CLASSES

If you are brand new to stand up paddling, or have never taken any formal instruction, our SUP Basics course in collaboration with Dubai Fitness Challenge is for you!

Our 1 hour session (Inclusive of 20 minutes lesson and 40 minutes rental) gets you started off right with essential info on gear and clothing, safety knowledge, and equipment care.

You will leave with the basic paddling skills and knowledge to safely stand up paddle on sheltered and enclosed waters, and ready to paddle your way into the Ocean!

This year beside the paddle boarding lessons we will even include free and discounted paddle board rentals for all the participants from Dubai fitness challenge with previous sup experience.

Stand up paddle boarding can offer a fun and and amazing training that anybody can do, it is likewise extraordinary compared to other exercises out there. Individuals with all body shapes, sizes and ages are taking part in stand up paddle boarding as a fun wellness movement and stand up paddle boarding is the best exercise for a total body exercise.

SUPing is a low impact training that is a mix of core workout, resistance, and Endurance which are practiced whether you are paddling or simply cruising on your board. It’s a fantastic core workout as well as the toes, legs, back, shoulders, arms and neck will be involved even during a simple paddle boarding session on the water with your friends.

This Year we decided to include even kayaking rental in our Dubai Fitness challenge’s activities, we do not offer any classes for kayaking since it is fairly easy to learn and requires no prior skills. We do however, provide you with a short briefing session before you get out on the water and have some fun with family and friends while burning some calories.

DUBAI FITNESS CHALLENGE KITE SURFING LESSONS

This year we have included 2 types of kite surfing lessons the introduction to kite surfing and the full kite boarding course and both courses can be done as one on one or you can join with a friend.

Our introduction to kite surfing course is a starter 2 hours course, a tester course of the sport with a qualified instructor where you will get customized attention, catered to your own personal learning style.

You will learn the basics of kite surf, including of kite control and power control safety,safety procedures, kite set up, launching and landing the kite while having a great fun experience. All the skills you learn in the introduction to kite surfing course are necessary techniques should you decide to take the sport to the next level.

The full kite boarding course is 8 hours block (10 hours in case of group lesson) which is the perfect solution to get you from Hero to Hero . Most students require in average 8-10 hours of training to gain the necessary skills and confidence to become independent kitesurfers in Dubai and in any other part of the world!

What is the minimum age requirement to participate in the Dubai Fitness Challenge?
The minimum age requirement to participate in the Dubai Fitness Challenge depends on the type of activity. Participating in Kite N surf’s paddle boarding activities Minimum age is 9 years old and for Kite surfing lessons is 13 years old.

Is the Dubai Fitness Challenge is limited to government bodies only?

Not at all, The Dubai fitness challenge is not limited only to government bodies in fact even residents from all ages are encouraged to participate in the activities of the event to improve their physical fitness.

How long is the class duration in Dubai fitness challenge?

At kite N surf we have two different activities paddle boarding class is 1 hour long and the kite surfing lesson related to Dubai Fitness challenge are 2 hours and 10 hours course.

What if I can’t make it that far?

No worries. You can terminate the class at anytime but we encourage all participants to attempt to finish.

Is there a cost to run the course?

The Dubai Fitness Challenge courses provided by Kite N surf has 2 options. One is free of charge and the other is at discounted price. Free classes are handled on a first come first serve basis

What other activities are there to do at the Dubai Fitness Challenge?
The event features lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy to include Cycling competitions, triathlons, boot camps, swims at the beach, obstacle courses

What is the weather policy for the kite N surf activities?
The Dubai Fitness Challenge activities related to Kite n surf require LOW wind and flat water conditions for paddle boarding and wind speed of Minimum 8 knots for the kite surfing activities. Please make sure to check the website on event day for weather updates and event status.

Do I have to register to participate?

ALL participants should register through the Dubai Fitness Challenge’s application and sign up from there by filling up the required information. Once the registration is done booking our activities can be done easily through this page by following our booking procedure.
